Tracy Blaine, MPS, BEd, ABCP

Tracy Blaine is the Manager of Emergency Social Services with the Alberta Emergency Management Agency. The ESS team works both directly with local authority ESS teams to support their program development and delivery, and works in the Provincial Emergency Coordination Centre to coordinate the government of Alberta programs that support the people impacted at time of incident. Tracy has been with the Government of Alberta since July of 2022. Originally from Calgary, Tracy worked in industrial emergency management with both Oil and Gas and Power Generation prior to joining NAIT in 2019 as part of the team that launched the Centre for Applied Disaster and Emergency Management. Tracy holds a Masters in Public Safety and multiple certificates in emergency management concepts and skills.

 

Amanda Sobierajski, BSc., MPH

Amanda Sobierajski is a member of Alberta Emergency Management Agency’s Be Prepared team, having joined in the fall of 2024. Amanda comes to this work naturally, having held various preparedness, operations and operations management roles on the Canadian Red Cross’ national team over her more than 5 years there. As the National Technical Lead for the Corrections Epidemic Prevention and Control project, Amanda diverse team of professionals supporting COVID19 response across Canada; and served on the Advance and Operational teams for CRC's first scale operations in the Northwest Territories – among others. Amanda holds a Master of Public Health, a BSc in Psychology and speaks French and Spanish.
