Join Judith Pinto (Registered Occupational Therapist, Alberta) for 1, 2, 3, or all 4 of the upcoming one-hour sessions focused on exploring and addressing stress, burnout, and compassion/moral fatigue in the veterinary professions.

The first session is scheduled for June 7, 2025; the final session is scheduled for June 28, 2025.

Each week, we'll explore the similarities and differences between stress, burnout, and compassion fatigue using different lenses (polyvagal theory, individualized zone of optimal functioning, person-environment-occupation model, and sensory processing) so participants can have a perspective that resonates best for them and begin to address the impact these challenges have on their daily life.

Each session will begin with a lecture followed by a learning activity to help embed learning. There will be about 10 minutes at the end of each session for questions* focused on the topic of the day (or topics that have been previously covered).

If participants attend all four sessions, they will begin to develop:
- an understanding of the similarities and differences between stress, burnout, and empathic/compassion/moral fatigue
- an understanding of the difference between "good" and "bad" stress and its impact on their functioning
- a personal toolkit to meet their needs to effectively and intentionally manage work related stress so they can begin to use strategies to prevent burnout and compassion fatigue at work and in daily life
