Speaker: Amy Cooke, Practice Manager, RVT, VTS (Ophthalmology)

Amy has been a Registered Veterinary Technologist in Calgary, Alberta since 2006. She began working in ophthalmology in 2012 and instantly fell in love with the field. After 10 years of working alongside Dr. Kelli Ramey at a busy specialty hospital, she was instrumental in opening Calgary's first and only stand-alone ophthalmology practice. She continues to act as Practice Manager and lead technician where her special interests include cataract surgery, complicated corneal diseases and exotics anesthesia.

Amy recently received her Veterinary Technician Specialty in Ophthalmology this fall, being just 1 of 3 technologists in Canada with this title.

Outside of work, Amy enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, two daughters, and their fur babies, Kirby and Pai.
