RVTs are best equipped for the role of Radiation Quality Assurance Officer with the technical training and skills they possess. The webinar, Take a Lead on Radiation Safety will review the ABVMA radiation quality assurance program – why it is important, the responsibilities of the radiation quality assurance officer, what PIPS inspectors will be looking for, and where to find help. The purpose of Quality Assurance tests will be reviewed.

This session is approved for 1 hour of CE credit for RVTs by the ABVMA.

Speaker: Dr. Jocelyn Forseille and Monica Clair, RVT 

Dr. Jocelyn Forseille is Assistant Registrar for the Alberta Veterinary Medical Association. After graduating from WCVM in 1981, she spent 5 years in mixed practice, and 6 years in small animal practice before joining the Animal Health Technology program at NAIT in Edmonton, Alberta, 1992 - 2014. She continued doing locum work at local veterinary practices during that time. In 2014, Jocelyn joined the ABVMA and is happy to work with the PIPS committee and Alberta veterinary practices to meet the minimum standards in the ABVMA PIPS Bylaw and established by ABVMA membership.

 

 

 

 

Monica Clair, RVT is Administrator, Practice Inspection Practice Standards and Radiation Program for the Alberta Veterinary Medical Association (ABVMA). After graduating from Fairview College in 2000, she worked in emergency and small animal practices in various roles for 20 years before joining the ABVMA team in 2020. Monica loves working with practices, members, PIPS inspectors and the PIPS committee to be successful.
